WATERVIEW LEUVEN, BELGIA

The hotel complex is located in the industrial district of Leuven, currently undergoing revitalization, right next to the famous Stella Artois brewery. A building with a rich configuration – from a 14-storey tower, cascading down to the lower part, developed around three green courtyards. An architectural design with very bold colors and graphics, a combination of traditional red brick with a mosaic of enamelled glass façade cladding. For the needs of this particular project, a new, individual aluminum system of the so-called “hot-cold” façade was created, combining both decorative single glazing and combined glazing in hidden window sashes into a uniform, continuous curtain wall. A standard mullion and transom system with special, high masking panels was also used to emphasize the slender form of the elevator housing.

• a complex system of insulation and sealing of the aluminum façade on a “chessboard” of joints with classic masonry inserts made of full face brick
